Be a Volunteer

The Associação Saúde Criança Renascer (ASCR) counts nowadays on 160 volunteers from the civil society who are engaged in different projects. For this reason Renascer manages to be successful and to be an organization internationally known for its values.

Some volunteers are trained and well qualified to help families; others help with the administrative work, with the dissemination of ASCR, giving consultancy on fashion, on communications, or on project design.

At the Hospital da Lagoa, a team of over 20 volunteers works in the recreation room, entertaining the children and their parents. They conduct educational games with the little patients and and give embroidery, sewing, cloth painting classes, among other activities, to release the tension produced by the illness and the hospital environment.

"My son misses the hospital. He keeps asking when we are going to go back there. Thanks to Renascer Leonardo's admission period was not traumatic. On the contrary, he's only got good memories" - Viviane Meireles, assisted by Renascer and qualified by the ASCR Beauty Salon School.
